Chameleon Visual Arts -Who We Are & What We Do

Chameleon

A family owned and run business, Chameleon Visual Arts started in 1995 to better serve the emerging commercial design community, looking for original solutions to their creative space demands. It became an exciting challenge, manifesting even the most extrordinary and impossible elements, by collaborating with artists who work in a variety of mediums.
Consistantly looking for new an innovative techniques and styles, the work of Chameleon Visual Arts, and it's creative team, can be seen in spaces throught the world!
In 2012 Patty's granddaughter, Gwynedh, joined the business and together they have taken on new clients and broadened their vision to sucussfully produce projects as varied as the giant ice crystal butterflies for Abu Dhabi, to 50' Christmas trees for Las Vegas.

Patty Cole
Beginning an Art career in Visual Merchandising and store design, I was a regional and creative director for several major retailers, designing, producing and managing seasonal decor events.
In 1995 I began Chameleon Visual Arts, to provide custom holiday decor and permanent fine art pieces, for the department store industry, as well as, archetectural elements for commercial spaces.
Working with artists from the Seattle Glass Movement, we produced chandeliers, wall mounted and free standing sculptures, as well as, the Seattle Artisan's retail boutique in fine china and crystal for Marshall Fields in Chicago.
Over the last decade we have also gone beyond the limits of glass, in weight and fragility, and have produced the work of Kim Hall, utillizing recyclable synthetic glass to produce flower and butterfly forms, ice crystals and snowflakes handformed and painted, or covered in jewels, as large as 25' in diameter. We are your resource for exceptional products, original designs and experienced creative management, to produce exciting environments and memorable events. It is a pleasure to work and partner with my granddaughter Gwynedh, and like the Chameleon, we continue to welcome and embrace the challenges our clients bring to us.

I grew up in a very creative family, and found myself inexorably drawn to the arts. When I reached college, I threw myself into theatre and the performance. Like many in my generation, I supported myself by working a series of retail and customer service jobs, where I developed a deep appreciation for excellent customer service, and taking care of my clients. After graduating from the University of Washington with a degree in theatre, I joined Patty, my endlessly creative grandmother, in making and selling spectacular large-scale art installations. We are delighted to have a family business in such a unique field. I find few things as satisfying as helping make the world more glamorous and beautiful by finding the perfect lights and art for each client.
